Noise Canceling Method
Also, the change in light intensity of 2 slits is almost the same waveform.
In the case of dust, it passes through only one slit,
It will pass at a different speed than the linear speed.
Very different ones are not detected as unevenness.
In the case of ambient light, the light intensity of 2 slits changes at the same time.
From this feature,
1. Based on the linear speed obtained from the speed input, calculate the time difference passing through 2 slits.
2. Signals greatly different from this time will not be detected as unevenness.
3. Though the uneven waveform of 2 slits is significantly different will not be detected as unevenness.
Since it is necessary to know the linear velocity for the external uneven diameter detector with noise cancellation function,encoder connection is essential.
The above-mentioned figure shows an example of connection with an encoder.For clock input, connect to phase B (3).
Also, the linear velocity can not be measured correctly if the encoder input to be connected is a few Hertz.
It is recommended to connect a device that operates at 100 Hz or higher during normal operation.
Setting tolerance error time
Tolerance error time (Select 0)
Line speed is calculated by counting the number of pulses at 2 second intervals.
In order to cope with the change of the line speed in 2 seconds and the influence of the
measurement error of the speed input,It is possible to set how much error is allowed.
When the value is set to 0, the noise cancellation function works most strictly. But there is a
possibility of missing the unevenness which should be detected originally due to installation
environment etc.Due to acceleration / deceleration of line speed and timing of measurement, if
the error as shown in the figure below exceeds the tolerance error, the detector does not detect
unevenness as noise and do not perform detection operation.Therefore, the value is usually set to
1 or 2 and if it is easy to pick up noise, set it strictly (set smaller value ⇒ 0), and if there are
cases which it does not pick up, set it generously (set larger value ⇒ 3 or 4) please.
